Who We Are

Resource One Aboriginal Business Association is a non-profit organization that consists of Aboriginal businesses within the Region One area. We are committed to help promote Aboriginal businesses by networking and enhancing industry communication. Our mission is to ensure economic opportunities that will allow these businesses to grow. In the long term, we hope to grow a strong relationship with Aboriginal businesses. Full members of ROABA are at least 50% Aboriginally owned and majority-controlled business.

Shawn McDonald

Born and raised in Lac La Biche, Shawn has been the Manager and owner of Black Scorpion Contracting Ltd since its incorporation in 1997.

His company is a proud sponsor of local charities and various events . Their preference is given to hiring local employees and subcontractors first and foremost as well as to support local vendors.

Shawn is excited to bring industry service providers together through ROABA to pool resources in order to meet the needs for the industry clients in our local area.
